Hi, I got a copy of Metro for free due to the bundle from Nvidia. Sometimes when I turn on the computer, free game from Epic Games show up at the bottom right of the screen. Are those games really free to play?

Still not enough to get me to ever use the Epic Games Launcher. Borderlands 3 official release date April 2020 amiritre my dudes? Metro Exodus doesn't exist to me, unless it ever comes to Steam.

Huh?! All they ask for is an email and this can be a throw away randomly generated (guerrilla mail) one.
Unless they are mining other data from your drives it's just another launcher.

Mining data.

No account security.

They haven't convinced me to have their launcher on my computer or to have an account there at all. I was looking forward to Metro Exodus since it was announced and I would have preordered it if it had stayed on Steam longer. Since I didn't I guess I'm waiting until next year to play it.

If they are mining Steam data without consent doesn't that speak more for the bad security of steam?Shouldn't steam be blocking that?

Yup fortnite is real bad, I was getting constant emails about people trying to get into my fortnite account, uninstalled it and not a single message since so the launcher itself is not the target,it's just fortnite.
Sure it doesn't really make you feel secure but on the other hand any popular game is being bombarded by hackers.

I've had a Steam account since 2006 and have 395 games there. Never once have I been hacked. I feel like Steam is just about as secure as my bank. I live with Origin and uPlay because I have to. I don't have to with the Epic launcher and I'm not going to. Not yet.
