Hello. I have an I3 6098P 3.6 ghz, 8 gb ddr3, gt 1030, AsRock B150M-HDS and a cheap 300W PSU.I want to upgrade to Gtx 1070 and a be quiet! PURE POWER 11 500W CM PC power supply ATX 80PLUS Gold BN297. Is the gpu compatible with my motherboard ? Will the I3 bottleneck it? And, is the power supply really needed? And if the cpu does cause problems, is an used I7 6700k good enough? Thanks a lot.

Solution
Is the gpu compatible with my motherboard ?
Yes.

Will the I3 bottleneck it?
Possibly, depends on the game and monitor resolution. Even if it does you'll still see a massive increase over the GT 1030.

And, is the power supply really needed?
Yes, a cheap 300W PSU could ruin your parts and may even catch on fire.

And if the cpu does cause problems, is an used I7 6700k good enough?
The 6700(K) or even 7700(K) would be a solid pairing with the GTX 1070 if you can find one for a good price.
