Are My CPU Temps Alright?

I have an i7-5820k clocked at 4.5GHz with 1.255v going to the core sitting in an NZXT H440 cooled by a NZXT Kraken X61. Idle temps are between 36-45. During gaming, it hangs between 50-60, and under load (100%) it'll hit 77-81. I have 3 Noctua NF-F12s fans bringing air in with 3 NF-A14s pulling air out (1 in the rear, and two on the cooler mounted at the top of the case). Running the fans in silent mode, or at full speed, doesn't seem to make any real difference even with all panels taken off the case. Do these temps seem normal?

Solution
Asked about gpu because, during the summer, my gpu idle temps were pretty high in idle between 50 to 60 Celsius as a result of 0 db fan profile. It affected my cpu temp. Also ambient temp can affect your cpu temp. but you know that. Anyway my personal opinion is that your temps are quite normal.

Best luck!

Borderlands and Fallout 4 hang between 47c and 53c with around 25% utilization, but Star Wars Battlefront runs around 55c to 60c with spikes to 75c for a second or two while loading a new map/finishing a match where the CPU utilization will hit 70-80%. 81c seems to be the peak temp maintained while running a burn test through MSI Kombuster or Intel Burn test.

Yeah, the load temps are high, but that's during an artificial test which puts a 100% load on the CPU. It's the idle temps that worry me as they just seem about 10c higher than they should be. It's all in the little signature, but I have a gtx 980 Ti SLI with a 750 Ti for PhysX.

Your gaming load temps seem normal, as do your artificial load temps. The idle temps do seem high, but your load performance isn't suffering because of it.

You could try to re-mount the block with a new application of thermal paste. Not sure I would bother if it was my system though.

I may just go and try a re-apply of TIM. I've checked all the screws on the cooler, and it's secured to the board so I don't think that's the issue.

Of course! Wow I'm an idiot. Each of my GPUs are idling right around the 45c mark and that's the air being sucked in through the radiator. I previously had reference 980s blowing the air out of the case, but my 980 Ti are ACX versions.
