Hello!
I have been putting off my pc upgrade for a year now, as I'm just too nervous. I kind of know what I'm doing but I don't trust myself enough to make this big purchase.

Its not actually that much of an upgrade- I have my old case (I believe it's a Cooler Master 690 II) and the gpu i got just before the cypto boom (1070ti twinfrozr for 260€). But as my cpu is holding back my gpu and is not very stable with it (current system is i5 3470, 2x4gb ddr3, some cheap msi board (only 2 ram slots and no vrm cooling, looks like it's from the 18th century) and a 12yro seasonic 520w 80+ bronze (SS-520GB Active PFC F3).

My current shopping cart looks like this: (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/X2C8qp) R5 3600 209.90€, MSI B450 tomahawk 105.90€, Teamgroup Vulcan Z 3200mhz cl16 2x8gb (TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01) 79.90€ and to make my pc output less than 50db of noise, 2 be quiet pure wings 2 PWM fans (combined 25 bucks). That makes it 501.65€ and that's basically a perfect price for me - 500€. The cpu cooler will come later, probably an arctic freezer 34duo.

Is my build good or should i more my budget from part to part? I think I could go to 550€ but i really want to pay as little as I can as I'm a little anxious with money.
Thanks ahead!

See if you can get 3600Mhz memory for a similar price. Other than that, a good budget upgrade.

Prices seem a little high, but it does depend on the country.

You should probably budget for a new PSU in the next little while. Capacitors don't tend to last much longer than that under daily use.

It's good for 1080p.For the mobo it would be better if you can get a b550 or at least b450 tomahawk max not the normal b450.Someone above mentioned getting 3600mhz ram no don't do it because 3600mhz isn't' stable with b450 mobo go with 3200mhz.

Also change your psu later because a mid range rig like that won't really depend on 12 yr psu you're risking your rig so as soon as possible change your psu.

The system is most probably going to be used for 144hz 1080p esports titles yesand I was wondering about the 3600mhz ram and as it would be at least 20€ more, i couldn't justify it. As to the motherboard, I did mean b450 MAX. Didn't even cross my mind that it could be a non max variant. But a B550 would be also a little expensive. A decent one would add 50€ and as i don't need it, I again can't justify it.
Thanks!
