I have a Asus prime x470 pro mobo and Ryzen 7 2700x. Was curious if my ram modules that I have would support the mobo and cpu. Ram : gskill ripjaws v series : F4-2800C15S-8GVRB. ?? Now I know there is a difference in support and the QVL. Any advice ??

Sounds like a DOA motherboard (possibly). Do you have another GPU you could swap into the system to verify that the 1060 is working (or not)?

Also, are you sure (I have to ask) that you have your display connected to your GPU and not to any motherboard video connections?

Only thing I did not do was. When I breadboarded. I didn’t take out the 360 rad. I was trying to leave it in the case. Cause with this case everything is a pain n the butt. Could that be an issue? I wouldn’t think so. But possible.

I have another gpu and that thing is so so old. The chance of it registering. Is very very slim. I did talk to Newegg where I bought the mobo and they said that the mobo is new from the manufacturer

New from manufacturer does not rule out defective. It certainly happens.

Try the old GPU, we are in isolation mode here.

Ok to answer if GPU IS WORKING. yes. It’s working. I tried it in my roommates that I built for her. It’s %100 working. And the AIO FANS ARE WORKING. Everything runs at start up. Just no post.

On the mobo it has a AIO PUMP HEADER. SO the AIO pump is connected to that header

I have the same AIO in my newer rig: 2 connections of your AIO are needed
TT360 PUMP >> AIO PUMP HEADER (extra power for power hungry pumps) not required for boot, you can connect your pump to any mobo fan header
TT360 FANS >> CPU_FAN_HEADER >> required for boot to have a working fan connected to this header (any even not a cpu fan)

Thanks for the clarification, this is mind warping, a lot of issues with these latest AMD motherboards, any possibility to get a different memory module for a quick test?

Yea I can’t get diff ram. No way of getting one. But I did order yesterday the trident z rgb 8x2 at 16 gb. Cause I thought it could be incompatible ram and yes this is a total headache Ugh. $2800 into this build so far. I’m building it for my mom.

Kinda sounds what it sounds like to me as well. DOA mobo. I still have 27 days for my return to Newegg. But I did order the trident z rgb 16 gb. 8x2. Wondering if I should wait for them and try or just get a replacement from newegg. Eithier way I ordered the ram

Sorry for repeating myself

Yea I have the AIO pump connected to the AIO pump header. I don’t think it would change it’s post if I changed it to a diff header.

Me not taking out the 360 rad when I breadboarded wouldn’t create a short would it? I don’t think it would. It just something I didn’t do.

I have the AM4 heat sink that came with the 2700x yes

AS long as it's fans are connected correctly to motherboard CPU_FAN header and no visual leak, don't think it's the problem, you can even quickly disconnect/remove AIO backplate from mobo/CPU, boot your mobo with CPU bare without any CPU cooler fixed to it (for few minutes at a time only) with just any working fan attached to motherboard CPU_FAN header to rule out AIO shorting or anything of that sort.

Ok. Ima try this. ima breadboard again with everything completely out of case and connect the 2700x heatsink that came with it and see if there’s a difference.

Sounds great, I know it could be a pain in the neck troubleshooting issues like this, you still have warranty on the board and the other parts, obviously you have spare PC to post here, and you still have warranty on the motherboard, so no major urgency.
