[SOLVED] Are PSU Extension cables safe for using?

Hey guys,

A friend of mine has a Gigabyte G750H 80+ Gold PSU in his system. Even though the PSU is semi-modular, the power cables are flat, black & not braided. He wanted to get a colored braided PSU extension cable kit for aesthetic reasons.

or a Cablemod basic extension set kit if possible.

Are these PSU extensions safe for using? Will these cause any problems? Any help regrading this si highly appreciated.

Note: Will only try getting kit from reputable brands like CableMod/ Cooler Master/ AsiaHorse & won't be getting cheap unbranded extension sets.

Does your friend want to extend or to replace the modular cables?

Extensions will be plugged into the standard modular cables and not the PSU. Usually that´s safe for using.

Replacements are specifically for the chosen unit and not for others, because the modular outputs of power supplies are usually different from manufacturer to manufacturer. Only use replacements from Gigabyte (if available) or custom cables made for the Gigabyte G750H 80+ GOLD PSU.

He just wants to extend the factory supplied modular cables for improving the looks of his case. Not exactly looking for replacement kit at the moment
