Are sata power cables and sata power extension cables the same thing?

Solution
SATA Power Cables (comes with the PSU) are usually PSU-specific. One (or several) end/s is/are a regular female SATA connector/s that plugs in a SATA device, while the other end is, usually a 6-pin male (3x3 block), which is wired the same way as how a specific PSU's Peripheral/SATA socket is wired, is plugged into the PSU.

SATA Power Extension Cables (third-party) are universal - as it merely extends a short SATA Power Cable. One end is a regular male SATA (where you plug the short SATA power cable from the PSU), while the other end is a regular female SATA that plugs in a SATA device.
