Are Search Protection and Mobogenie daemon removed from my computer?

So I use McAfee for my virus protection and firewall. I look in msconfig and see the two Pups in the title. I tried manually removing the exe file of both. Mobogenie didn't even have a folder, probably because I "uninstalled" it in the windows control panel. Search protection on the other hand had a folder and I deleted the exe. Search protection never showed in the control panel. I know McAfee sucks for pups and malaware so I got Malawarbytes. Malawarebytes got rid of mobogenie it seems, however said nothing about search protect. However there was another pup that was not named. Both pups never affected me, even when i didn't know about them. I am very paranoid about things like this so I was wandering if I was safe. Both don't try to be in start-up nor are they in the processes in task manager. So am I good, or what else should I do? McAfee didn't pick up anything either. Thanks, I know this more of a hardware site, but I always get great feedback here.

When you say you had "uninstalled" Mobogenie, do you mean via the Control Panel? And yes - Mobogenie does have a folder. Use Adw Cleaner to remove them properly. Also, to remove all traces of Mobogenie and Search Protect use Advanced Uninstaller. If you're really that bothered about it you could use a system restore and restore before you installed the adware. Or even a clean install of Windows. Good luck:)
