That "SHARK" PSU looked so good with the "4x PCI-Express 6+2 pin Power Connectors"... :/

Im going to run two HD 6850's to start with.

Cooling upped the wattage. Coolermaster V10...etc

ok, some of those online calculators do over estimate by a great deal. though 850 watts is reasonable and will allow plenty of headroom to upgrade to any configuration.

for anyone building a gaming rig i suggest to get the following parts
asrock extreme 3 gen3 z68 mobo, cuz its very cheap and has uefi and sli/corssfireX compatibility also z68 chipset
Aerocool strike-x gt case cuz of its looks and price and also features
Corsair vengeance 8gb 1600mhz for price/ performance
i5 2500k for greeat price/performance high overclocking capabilities and £70 cheaper than 2600k
dual gtx 560 ti for best and cheapest graphics setup whick beats gtx 580 oc'ed

At about 1000W you should start seeing 6 PCI-Express connectors on the better PSUs.

No way that setup needs 850w you can use the molex adapters to use the pcie cables instead going for a high priced psu

That is better because its modular and has more connectors and also thermaltake is a better company in terms of psus

just like playing cards, "think long, think wrong".

If you can find out that the Smart 850 is built by CWT for Thermaltake like delluser1 suggests there's a good chance it's a better qualtiy unit than the Smart 730W model.
(and it shows why we like to see those independent reviews to find out just what's inside and how well they run).

Smart 850W is a new model. It's only been out six or seven weeks. Usually, that's long enough for a few reviews to have shown up though.

The Thermaltake SMART Series M850W (SP-850M) is based on CWT's PSHII 850 (PSHII 850V) model. It's the same CWT model that Corsair's Enthusiast Series Modular TX850M (CP-9020004) is also based on.
