I have an Intel 12700K which has none of the issues of the newer intel 13 and 14 generation CPU's however I would like to upgrade my CPU BUT I have heard of the voltage problems they represent. Now I am hearing that it is ONLY the K processors of the 13 and 14 generation chips being affected. But I have read other places that it could also affect the non K 13 and 14 generation processors? So which is it? Are the Intel 14 generation LGA 1700 Socket chips OK as long a they are not a K series? Such as the Intel 14900 chip with no letter after it? Such as this one...https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i9-14900-Desktop-Processor-P-cores/dp/B0CQ24VW72/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1HC5BV16R6Q49&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.RegHR6cUUmIUhxhON6ly2dOtvD9S2trauxSVVunJjKCsVyyECSsy6FIwXQbf8G5-fUuDH50Ct9NW1XUEAX8tB5EiCHqVFBH5WY3v-vx7Fhtl4TNhvvEFqygnyIbdH3AVh6J1QwyumXzDrOhlTFxLc7pYIFF-cSJHY6XmX6U-hVl1r7L8PPErJdEq45dACqw1DnqU08yy-3YPSX1DMiZcFeFI9u6zP2t486VTgDuBpIwymQnmwMetC5oidHaTXG_--8w0hbpmvDLElUZJKVA5M-XDten_fdcpCt1mWxStevM9JOQF7YkGKBX713r3NkSIWQwBRh9XFf0vROhSMylZrtj7haAKNrjBS65ed7LzaZg.h-SC2Se8QJ3npWMexBAdXL-9toilDcGjpSSN-CCvMK8&dib_tag=se&keywords=intel+core+i9+14900&qid=1737241851&s=electronics&sprefix=,electronics,141&sr=1-1&ufe=app_do:amzn1.fos.5998aa40-ec6f-4947-a68f-cd087fee0848 Would that be ok to buy with no overheating issues?? I have a Gigabyte B660M-DS3H Motherboard it would go into. I am currently running a Intel i7 12700K with no issues.

If you're with a 12th Gen, you're safe, anything under the 13th and 14th Gen is under question.

I have a Gigabyte B660M-DS3H Motherboard it would go into.
I wouldn't even think about adding a higher pedigree processor onto the motherboard. To add, you can't even take advantage of the unlocked processor in your build due to the chipset. You might fair better by swapping the B660 chipset out for a Z690 chipset and overclock the processor. If you're able to pick up a board with a beefy VR design, then drop in a 12th Gen i9 processor(provided your case and cooling is capable of taming the heat).
