are the msi products any good?

i was planning to buy the z97a gaming 6 or the z97 gaming 5 bcoz of i7 4790k....
and also the graphics card from msi ie the gtx 970 gaming 4g.....

i live in india
please tell
and also if i buy a msi motherboard will it accept a asus strix gtx 970?//

The gaming 5 is a very good z97 motherboard for the money. They make good GPUs as well.

Yes, an MSI motherboard with accept an Asus GPU as well as any other brand.

I have had the msi gaming gtx 760 since it came out and its been abused with ridiculous overlocks the whole time and it still works as good as the day i bought it. So yes i would say msi products are good i have also heard good things about their motherboards as well and im planning on getting an msi board when i eventually switch to intel.

A GTX 970 and an i7 4790k can be powered by a quality 550w or 600w unit such as a Seasonic, XFX, Antec, Superflower, Rosewill Capstone, etc.

MSI products are amazing. Also, any motherboard will accept any video card.

I too prefer MSI and their MoBos/GPUs (love the black/red theme they offer). I have 2x MSI MoBos (Z97 Gaming 5 and Z170 Gaming M5) and 2x MSI GPUs (GTX 760, GTX 1060 Gaming X) in use. Besides MSI, Asus is also good, both MoBo and GPU wise.
