are the toshiba hdd good for a ps3 super slim?

I WANTED TO PURCHASE A TOSHIBA HDD TO PUT IN MY PS3 SUPER SLIM. IS THIS BRAND ANY GOOD?

Hello RLPZ322, Yes they are a decent brand however before buying one make sure it is a 2.5" in size. also make sure its a 7mm so it'll fit tight mounts.

This is the hard drive that I was looking into for the ps3 super slim. Toshiba 2.5-Inch 500GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0 Gb/s MQ01ABD050

btw: Apparently Toshiba was not included in the study as mentioned close to the end of the article, but I saw it somewhere else rated right behind Hitachi... so it is a good brand.

thanks for the advice and do you kw if I would have to download the ps3 firmware although I have the ps3 super slim 12gb the one that doesn't have a hard drive???

You may or not have to download the firmware, my guess is you won't but check the manual, it should provide all the information you need... Says it does support a 2.5' HDD.
