Question Are there known remedies to the horizontal streaks on my display?

Hello,

Today, I turned on my 45” LG - UltraGear display (purchased from Best Buy) and found this streaking all across the bottom 3" of the display.
I will admit, I recently moved 20 minutes away, but during this move, the monitor was not even bumped, there's not a scratch. However, it was exposed to 40deg temps for about an hour.

Troubleshooting
  • It happens on every input, and with multiple laptops/PCs/cables. It also happens on the monitor build-in menu. Therefore, I believe the issue is with the monitor itself.
  • I tried removing electronics with signals nearby to ensure there's no disruption due to electromagnets, but nothing changed. Plus, it's static, these lines don't change or flicker.
  • I tried power cycling and moving the power cable to a new outlet, in case it was a power issue. No luck.
I believe the issue has been isolated to the monitor.

If the simple answer is that I need to have it repaired or just live with it, that's fine. I'm just curious if anyone has seen this before and might have another solution.
I've seen people rub dead pixels before and somehow fix it, so I'm just hopeful. Any help is appreciated.

How old is the unit? Any warranty coverage left? Service contract?

With a panel that size I rather doubt you would readily find a replacement panel, but given how inexpensive the ~40" class of TV are today you may well be able to replace it cheaper than any level of service outside DIY.

If you leave the monitor on for a while with something mostly white displayed do the streaks go away after it warms up? I have an LG 27EP950 monitor that's about 2 years old and I get yellow streaks on the left side in the middle for the first approx. 5 minutes when its turned on; then they fade away and all is good once its warmed up.
