Rammy :
Literally none of this makes any sense-
■ He is a UK buyer, so models/pricing in dollars isn't very helpful or relevant.
■ The first model you linked is the AX760, not the AX760i, entirely different units.
■ $160 isn't a decent price when you can get a quality modular unit for <$100.
■ In the UK these PSUs retail at £120-150, and you can get models which are arguably superior for ~£80-90.
■ Corsair do not make ANY PSUs, they sell models made by a variety of OEMs, and because of that you can't guarantee any kind of consistency across their range. They have some great models and some pretty poor-average ones.
■ Very few Corsair PSUs are made by Seasonic. In the past there was a higher number, but of currently available models it is only the HX650, AX760 and AX860 which have a Seasonic OEM, and I think that all three of these are probably reaching EOL.
■ I personally wouldn't buy anything in the Corsair PSU range right now. At the bottom end of the market the CX range offer pretty great value if you are on a tiny budget, but otherwise there is usually a better option at a better or similar price.
Hey Rammy,
I just got ur email about the PSU's. I didn't realize he's in the UK where price are 1/2 more than us prices.
But I thought he was putting in 2 GTX 780's. And with that steup(and which CPU) if he is Water Cooling, I wouldn't put anything less than a 750 Watt PSU. That's why I suggested the ax760i Not the AX 760, Dude, I just went on Newegg UK and they only have 17 PSU's for sale???? So wouldn't he have to buy from the us......or a dif Co in the uk.
But I still say go wit a 750 if he is sing 2 GTX 780's.
Dude I just went onto Newegg UK and the GTX 780 is listed @ 309 pounds? And on the Newegg US site, it's listed @
