"If QAM64, SNR should be 23.5 dB or greater (from the link).

Downstream Bonded Channels (from the link):

"In the Downstream Bonded Channels section, verify Power levels are within the acceptable range of - 15 dBmV to + 15 dBmV for each downstream channel."

Also good.

Thanks for the Power level info. Actually its a Netgear CM700. I'm concerned since I've been having problems where the modem works fine when hooked up to one computer but if I hook it up to a router the internet signal goes on and off; tried it with 2 different routers, same problem. I may just bite the bullet next week even if I have to pay to have the cable company service people come over and check the line. Thanks again.
 
What do you mean it goes on and off. If a pc hooked to the modem has no issues,assuming you tested for a long enough time,there should be no issue with the internet.

Someplace in the modem there should also be a log. You always get some kinds of strange messages that don't seem to hurt anything but if you see any messages around the time you think the connection dropped those might be concerning.

Maybe the router has a message or if it stays down long enough look at the lights on the modem and the router. Mostly does it seem the ethernet connection between the router and the modem is ok.

There really is not difference from the modems view point if you connect a router or a pc. A router is kinda just a small pc that only does the function of sharing the single IP address you get from the ISP to other machine in your house. Some people do use a real pc to do this function when they need more advanced stuff like firewalls or vpn.

If you had not used multiple routers I would be more likely to blame some issue with the router.

My guess would be it is random issue and you just got lucky and it never happened when you were directly connected. Going to have to do more investigation to see what is really going on.

What is your incoming connection (coax, DSL, fiber?

Do you lease or own the Modem and/or router?
