hey there guys ... I had a few old pcs lying around which I have stripped down ready for scrapping tomorrow but I took out 4 processors and im wondering if they are worth keeping for whatever reason

so here they are

1:AMD Sempron SDA2600AIO2BX
2😛entium 4 630 SL7Z9 Costa Rica
3:Intel Celeron D 2.66GHZ/256/533 SL7DL Phillipines
4:Intel E1400 Celeron SLAR2 Malay 2.00ghz/512k/800/06

Thanks in advance :)

originally i was going to remove the gold form them yes, i have even removed all the gold plated items from the mothe rboards and ram sticks ... i just couldnbt bring myself to destroying the cpus haha

i do like the idea of keeping them ... but for what purpose really... there are so many around, surely in 10 or 20 years time, there will still be many floating around... and if there aren't then what ? there will be absolutely no use for them ? who's gonna want to look at some cpus in a museum ? haha

Purpose is what you said. Keep them as memorials. Think it,today can you find any CPU's that has been made before 1980? You probably can't. Also, keeping those CPU's will be a good thing to show your kids😀

However, you should watch out for possible mercury leaks. That could be dangerous. You better keep CPU's in a Lead or Glass Case (Lead is better but hard to find) for long run.

will the glass/lead case prevent mercury leakage? or will it just contain it if it does leak ?
