Yes they are.

But i have some tips.
-If you will be doing only gaming no video edting orstreaming gampeplay, i5 4690K will be enough
-If you dont want to OC and you will be doing video editing and streaming get XEON E3 1231 v3, if you dont want to OC and you wont be doing video editing... get NON-K i5 (with XEON and non K i5 you dont need Z97 chipset motherboard H97 is fine but if you will be doing SLI in the future keep the Z97)
With such an expensive build SSD would be nice something like Samsung 850 EVO
-For gaming 8gb of ram is fine, for video editing keep 16gb
-You wont be needing such powerfull CPU cooler if you decide for a build without OC
-1000w is way to much for this build even for future SLI, 500w+ is enough (EVGA GS 550w), for future GTX 970 SLI get 700w+.
-Case ?

Next just pick the parts in PCpartpicker and it will tell you if something isnt compatible

Building this kind of a rig, I believe you are not very Budget conscious. If so,
Get a 700W psu and get a Non Ref GTX 980 TI graphics card.

If not,
Get a 600W PSU and get a R9 390X/GTX 980 Graphics card.

Overall The rig is perfect for Video Editing, Gaming and Steaming while gaming.
