hi,
i'm going to build a PC and i was wondering if the following components and specs would be OK to play GTA 5 on medium settings and Counter Strike Global Offensive on preferably high settings but medium would be okay

CPU: intel i7 3770
Mobo: AsRock H61M-VG4
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 710 2GB
RAM: 2x4GB
HDD:500 GB WD Green+500 GB Seagate Barracuda
PSU:BlueDigit 550W Power Supply

Solution
Yeah well do not worry, the specs are more than enough for CS:GO. I am running it on lowest res lowest quality settings smoothly on the smaller maps (d2, inferno, italy, mirage, overpass) but i have problems with train cobblestone the new nuke, etc. And we are talking about a Sony Vaio VPCEH i5 processor and a mobile Nvidia which is 512MB in terms of RAM. So yeah you will run it smoothly on high do not worry. However i would definately recommend a 4 GB video card or if its 2 GB to at least be above 128 bit, because it will be very close for you in terms of how much you are going to pay and a video card is the most important element when wanting high graphics and high fps.

Are you buying these?? I wouldnt get these parts. Give me some time ill have a build for you.

budget plz?

Let's improve your choice in the parts...
Go for AMD FX8350 8 core 4GHz CPU
ASUS CROSSHAIR V Formula mobo
Nvidia 750Ti or r9 280x(if that fits in your budget).
For the PSU, go for EVGA, they're cheap on amazon and you can get a 600w for a decent price
The rest of the parts, just use it from what you have listed yourself.

You'll have decent gaming pc.
This will run CS:GO on max graphics.
GTA V though... You'll have to get a R9 290x 4GB GDDR5 or two 280x 3GB GDDR5 if you want to play GTA V on medium graphics.
Hope this helped. :)

Budget please, i cannot work without a specified price range.

This is totally false. My friend maxes out GTA V with a single 280x.

Please refrain from giving inaccurate information to the OP.

DO NOT SKIP out on selecting a high efficiency PSU, this is the key to your system and if this fails everything fails.

A 750ti should be good.

You should change your power supply, motherboard, and if you ever want to play other games or record videos, get a bigger storage device, 1 TB should be good, maybe even 2. For your PSU, get at least a 650 watt. Everything else is good! :)

He only needs a 400W for a 750ti, and a 500W for most of other cards.

650W's are only for cards like 390's and 980ti's.

Motherboard upgrades are a waste of money unless you really need the features the upgrade board has, as a better motherboard gives neglible performance boosts most of the time.

Oh okay, sorry, I'm not very good about motherboard suggestions. Asrocks dosen't seem very trustworthy in my eyes.

Still isn't reason enough to spend 100+ on a new one.

I had a 280x Sapphire Vapor-X and a 280x Toxic over CrossFire and GTA V wouldn't run on max graphics.

Oh okay, i see what you mean (BTW sorry if it seems like I'm being sarcastic, I'm not intending to, as I try to be as civil as possible on threads)

This imo fits a bit better for a 1k build.

Granted the PSU is totally overkill but its a great performer for that price, dont deny it lads.

Hi these are the best Configurations for your requirements. You don't need to change anything. These configurations will run GTA 5 on medium settings and Counter Strike Global Offensive.

Strange, but 280x from Sapphire tend to have problems. My card which was also Toxic didnt run any of my games at max when my other friend did. Needless to say it depends if your card works right :)
