hello guys i have an i5 4690 non k at 3.9 ghz and my ambient temp is 16-18 celcious so when i play heavy cpu games like arma and rome 2 and my cpu reaches 70-80% it gets to 60-65 degrees and at 100% is gets 72-73 is it bad? i have a stock cooler will get a 212 evo in the future but for now are those temps ok?

You are good and safe. Remember you are running stock cooler, but still these are within normal temp for our i5 4th gen chips. At 100% you do not want to go over ~78C. Your 70-80% load temps are normal and still safe for your chip. If you want cooler you will meed to get that evo.

Yes, those are pretty high temperatures. You want to keep your CPU under 65ºC at full load. The best is 45-55ºC. The 212 evo will definitely be an improvement! I'd go for it.

What's the idle temp? and are these core temp or the CPU? It sounds like it's running a bit warm but not too bad. The chip still within the safe range parameters. Let us know what's your temp in idle is?

It sounds like good temps to me man, you are reading core temp right?
