Terrible for gaming, pretty decent for editing. I suspect a ryzen 1700 would be better for both unless you can get the thing dirt cheap it may be a cheaper setup as well.

It'd be better for editing (if not running Windows 10, that will only allow one processor) assuming your editing program will use 2 CPUs (not a ton do) and is capable of using more than 16 threads (once again not a ton do but there are some that will) and no better for Gaming as I'm not aware of a game that will use 2 cpus and even if one did not many have any use for more than 8 cores
