I am a dirt poor person from the philipines and i only have a budget of $40 for a mainboard and cpu . I wanted to have a a six core cpu that is cheap and ive heard that server cpus like the xeon x5650 is a 6 core cpu that only cost $6 in my country and not only that i saw some benchmark on this cpu and the performance is really good , now the downside is that the motherboard(x58)cost $40 which is quite expisive, so should i buy the xeon x5650 cpu or should i just buy a non server cpu like the g3220($15) with a h81($20) . Oh yeah btw im going to install windows 11 on this pc.

Benchmark ive watch on yt.

Xeon doesn't mean it's a good CPU for gaming. 6 core or 8 core doesn't mean it's good for gaming. Having HyperThreading/SMT doesn't mean it's good for gaming. Clocking in at 3GHz or 3.6GHz doesn't mean it's good for gaming. You can't look at one thing about a CPU and decide if it's a gaming CPU or not. A CPU is made up of some many things that you HAVE to consider the entire chip, not just one metric.

This is a Westmere CPU, and was launched in 2010. This means the CPU is 11, nearly 12yrs old at this point.

What was the desktop CPUs based on this Arch at the time? The first gen core series. If this is the best you can do then get it. But I'd honestly look for things way more recent. 10yr old tech doesn't make for good gaming CPUs.

X5650 at stock will not be the best for gaming but it will be acceptable for eSports titles. It would benefit very much from an overclock.

It would probably be a better bet than a g3220 for gaming.

I would strongly avoid those no name Chinese motherboards and only reccomend something name brand.
