So the whole "windows is #1 because it's compatible" yet it's not compatible with itself.

Windows h8te sucks. MS is too stupid to have confidence to continue buying their over prices crAp.

Sorry dude, Not going to happen.
The LGPL license makes vlc to be distributable in the app store,If M$ compile and link the library themselves. But M$ greedy nature will not allow it. Is more likely they eventually will charge you for a decent player.

Microsoft just don't understand the power of free software.Open source software to run on WindowsRT will change the playfield for them.More software mean more cash from the OS sales; Hardware sales and Non free apps.Take the money and run.

Or even better in Android no one charges for an operating system.Therefore tablets are dirt cheap;So... give WART for free.
Right now the devices are too expensive. Is considerably more expensive than a cheaptop and almost reaches ultrabooks prices.And a large chuck of the price is from the M$ licenses.

At the mobile space; M$ is the dwarf.Their monopolistic tactics will not work here.ARM tablets already have a long battery duration, x64 users have their bases covered and the Surface is not "Cool" enuff to make iDiots change their loyalty.

WART (and Windows Phone) is the answer to a question nobody ask or need.

But M$ is just too greedy and stubborn to recognize it.Prefer sink their ship (and their customers) instead of paddling back.
