With no emulation, apps would have to maintain a separate codebase, or at least more complex pre-processing of their code (if written in assembly). A good C-compiler that is optimization aware would work for other apps I should think?
But price, they cannot charge MORE than AMD or Intel... no way. Only enthusiasts like myself would buy their product. I am quite happy with the performance I get from both my Intel and AMD machines.
