[citation][nom]Tab54o[/nom]Home appliances? I dread the days when our microwaves, toasters and coffee makers have lan ports or wifi cards and operating systems.[/citation]
Maybe I can program my microswave to work simply like tell it one minute and start. I know that most do that but some friggin microwaves want you to hit like 10 buttons to simply tell it one minute and start. But on the off-shoot, I'de hate to see my microwave freeze up and need a reboot.
But on the plus side, a smart microwave that would download a database from the food manufacturer that would account for the wattage of my unit, could theoretically take all the guess work out. Just have the microwave read the RFID tag (before it destroys it by microwaving and put the exact time and cool down period for that product before beeping (I should patent this idea before some troll does)
Internet connected appliance can't be all that bad can they?
