Arma 3 low fps, was much higher..

Hello, I built a new pc around christmas and For the first week or so it ran excellent i Would get minimum 30 fps in the middle of battle in arma 3's king of the hill mod on the highest settings. Now my fps sits between 15--20 fps in the middle of battle on ANY settings low to ultra.

cpu sits around 35-40c in battle and gpu around 50c

specs =
8g gskill ram
i5 4460 cpu
gtx 970 MSI gpu
mx100 ssd
z97 extreme 4 asrock mobo
600w corsair psupply

Have you changed or installed anything around the time this started?

I would also check your MSI Gaming App to optimize the card for performance.

Keep in mind that server's may have high ping and the more players the more stress it puts on your CPU and other components as well. and even know arma 3 is a fairly new game its still not the best of optimization. the previous games (Arma2 and Arma2OA) were not optimized at all my pc always ran 20-30 FPS on 60 player servers sometimes even dropping down to 15 FPS in populated areas.

Try closing unnecessary programs to save some power for the game 😀
I also know how it feels to play at that FPS and for me personally its unplayable i dont like lag no one does!

how would i optimize it?

Just open the MSI Gaming App and switch your mode to "Gaming Mode"
Look around for options to change individual game settings.
NVIDIA has a control panel that allows such control. Not sure about MSI.
