Hello,
I have had one of the terrible Arris DG1670 modem/router combo units for about 5 months and it is having some issues.
The Arris will boot up, with all lights on, but they will only stay lit for about one minute. After that, all but the power will cycle off and reboot.
If I try to connect a device (and I connect as soon as it's back up) it will cycle immediately.
Right now I have the CAT5 connected to my laptop and I can successfully get on the Arris login page, after The page is up, it stays "your unit is updating. Please wait for a moment". While on the page, the Arris problem is still present.
The problems started Tuesday, this week and have persisted. I called Time Warner, but they only showed the device being active and Internet, including wifi services being on. Also, it is not in bridge mode.
I checked the Coaxial cable and continuity is good, I then removed the splitter leading to the cable box and connected only to the modem.
Also, I disconnect all devices from the wireless network (Laptop is only connected to LAN).
If anyone has any input, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
-Zack
