Question Arris NVG468MQ port forward and other settings

Be nice if the router manufactures got together and agreed on a common set of menus.

Can't say but did you try to put port 80 in both boxes. Some others you leave one of the boxes blank. If nothing else put in 79-80. 79 is never really used and if you do not have a port 79 open on your server it will just be dropped.

Note port 80 is not a recommended port to forward since HTTP is not encrypted. Also some devices attempt to protect you from doing it and have other menus where you need to change so you can even use port 80.

I'll try it. According to Synology, they need it open to verify certificates. I agree that they need a standard set. Just like usb c, I have a box that says otherwise.

I hope this thread isn't too old. I'd like to use Pihole on my Synology. On my netgear I had to change the DNs to point to the synology in order for the traffic to go through Phole first, am not sure if it was DNS. TIA

PS youtube is driving me adsane!!!!!!
