COOL! 955df is COOL! It supports 1024x768@100Hz! Colors are awesomely crisp amd flatness makes awesome! BUT! The bottom line is curved! I couldn't find any adjusment for it on the panel! Upper line is straight but bottom just sux! I can adjust everything except bottom line(you know when you can choose to adjust geometry then Pincusion/trapezoid and you can adjust trapezoid by clicking up/down on the panel and picushion by clicking back/forward or something like that!you can make it stright on the left and right side, but you can't do it on the top or bootom! Arrow, do you have this problem too? With my last monitor I could adjust it...I don't want to send 955df back..I like it!but this thing makes it look horrible!)! There must be a way! Maybe a utlity that allows you to do that! I tried different resolutions, but still the same thing! I thought maybe it happens just in Windows ME but I installed 98SE and in all my games I see this curve! Or maybe because of the flatness! I can't adjust it!

Sorry to hear about your problem. No monitor that I know of has controls for and bottom distortion. Top and bottom distortion has to do with the deflection yoke the manufacturer uses. If the deflection yoke is designed, manufactured or aligned to the picture tube incorrectly you can see distortion at the top or bottom of the screen. The edges of the screen are easily corrected with waveforms (this is why all monitors have pincushion controls etc.). However top and bottom can only be corrected by redesigning the yoke or adding small magnets to the rear of the picture tube during the assembly and alignment process at the factory.

Good Luck

Does that mean ALL 955d series monitors have the same problem or only mine???? If it's only mine then I'll order another one from another company...and did I buy a bad Samsung monitor? Graphics is exellent though....one thing I know is now I can game at 1600x1200 and I like it, but this yoke or whatever makes it look bad. Does that make the entire picture go curved..i think it does...F**K!

Wow, I've never run my monitor at that high of a refresh rate/resolution combination!
Sorry too to hear about your problem; however, I'm running at 1152x864 @ 85Hz and there's no problem like that.
Have you tried lowering the refresh rate?

You sure everything is like stright? no curves on the bootom or top? I accually adjusted everything and it seems like only one third of a bottom line is curved...makes me MAD!! should I try another time? I mean get the same monitor from another place? Where did you get it? for how much? In Windows ME it ssems to be so curved but in my games it isn't that bad...just a little curve...but anyway the only good curve is NO curve...

From the best of my eyes, I can't really see a curve.
Maybe you might want to get it from a store where you can walk in and see it first? Or maybe go into a few stores and see it to confirm whether it's with all monitors or just the one you have right now.
I'm in Canada actually; I got mine from NCIX for ~$470CAD back in December.
