After using the system for weeks it crashed when I was not looking and after rebooting I could not get an internet connection so I did the following:

X470 Taichi Motherboard AM4
AMD Ryzen 2700X CPU
Radeon RX 590 Graphics
Gskill DDR4 3600 16 gig Ram X2 in SLot A2 B2
Bios Version 3.5
AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 24.9.1

Running Windows 11 24H2 with Nord VPN Installed:

NordLynx Tunnel
TAP-NordVPN Windows Adapter V9

WAN Miniport Adapters (standard distribution)----Below area more steps taken

The system ran great for several weeks then just crashed (no blue screen - Just shut down) and after restarting the Networking [Ethernet, WIFI, Drop-In Ethernet Port] shows not Operational so no Internet connection or Bluetooth.

Network Hardware and Connection Properties from Settings:

I have tried:
turning off the network settings in the Bios restarting and then turning them back on.
Reinstalling BIOS 3.2 and no change.
Installed BIOS 3.40 no change.
Installed Bios 3.5 still no change
reinstalling network drivers
Network reset
Network Flush

Then I moved the hardware [Ryzen 2700X CPU, Gskill 16 gig 3600 X 2 RAM, Sabrent 1tb NVME Drive, and Rx 590 Graphics card] to an Asrock B450 PRO. Everything worked normally.

To make sure it was not a corrupt Windows I did a complete wipe and fresh install of Windows 11 24h2 and installed fresh AMD Adrenaline Edition 24.9.1 on the Asrock B450 Pro, all worked as expected.

I then moved all the components back to the X470 Taichi and the network is not seen by Windows 11 24h2. I have no internet access and even installed a Network 1g ethernet board into different PCIE Slots (that worked on the B450 Pro) but not on the X470.

I am hoping someone can help,
Thanks

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You forgot to mention the make and model of the PSU. Please include that as well as the age of the unit.

You didn't reinstall the OS after migrating platforms? Speaking of which, did you recreate the installer for the OS, while installing said OS in offline mode, then installing all drivers relevant to your platform in an elevated command?

Running Windows 11 24H2 with Nord VPN Installed
Maybe try installing the OS without the VPN.

If you read through the notes mentioned in your BIOS list on the board's support site;
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X470 Taichi/index.asp#BIOS
you'll notice that they warn you about downgrading your BIOS. You were on 3.5, you shouldn't be going down...only up. I'd advise that you make sure your chipset drivers are manually installed with the latest version sourced off of AMD's support site, then clear the CMOS for your motherboard.

The computer was purchased and built by me in 2020 and the power supply is Corsair RM850i 80+ Gold Digital [Renewed] also purchased in 2020 and original to the build. I used the same power supply for the B450 Pro build as well.

Thank you for the suggestion, I did fail to mention that I cleared CMOS several times and reinstalled new Chipset Drivers from AMD, I know I should not go back on the Bois but I was hoping to reset and fix the issue. The original bios was 3.5 when the system crashed.

I also ran Revo Uninstaller on Nord VPN and no improvement, so I repeated the switch of all components to the B450 and another fresh Windows install without Nord VPN and moved all the components back to the X470 Taichi. There was no change still no Network, the network drivers do show in Device Manager.

Yes, I did a fresh install of Windows 11 24h2 when the components were on the B450 and used that NVME on the X470, I also had a backup ISO from a laptop on a separate NVME and tried that as well on the X470 and the same issues persisted, no Network connections.

I did not do an offline fresh install on the X470, My thought was moving a working fresh windows install from another build would be better as then I knew everything worked. Would an offline install make a difference?

I will try that, However not hopeful as I tried a 1 gig plug-in 1 slot board and it was not recognized either. I happen to have one the recommended adapters you mentioned for my laptop being delivered today, so I will l update once I try it. Thank you.

I have installed windows 10, added a USBC ethernet dongle (this works for now).

In device manager still not ethernet ports show, missing the --realtek pcie gbe family controller-- and have attempted multiple installs and all failed. The WIFI driver is still missing and a PCIE 1Gig ethernet add in board does not work or recognized. tried in multiple PCIE slots.

Only through the USBC port can I get interne. Bluetooth finally installed and works.
