Artifacts on Giants: Citizen Kabuto

I'm not sure which section to post this end so I picked video cards.

I just updated my system from a K6III 400 to a P3 800EB on an 815E board. I kept the same video card (Hercules GF2MX) but I moved from W98SE up to WinMe (I tried W2K but I miss some of my games). I reloaded my software and now I am finding artifacts on Giants that were never there before. Under the main characters feet I now get a box shaped artifact. I did use a newer driver (6.88) as opposed to the W98SE (6.73). I did change the driver back to the 6.73 (overwriting the 6.88 files with the older 6.73) but I still get the artifacts.

1024x768x32 with T&L and HAL enabled.

Anyone have any suggestions? Is it because I now run at AGP 4X instead of the 2X I had with the Aladdin 5 chipset?
