I configured my dlink asdl router and made my Ethernet port to work as a wan port everything works fine I can ping my ISP and get his login home page but when I login by my username and password it says invalid macaddress please help
means they filtered you by mac address. If you had internet on your computer directly you will need to clone your pc mac address and put it on the router. If you had other router you need to clone the mac from it... or simply call your ISP and tell them you have connected new router and they will allow the new mac

You said you turned your lan port into a wan port on your adsl router, I am assuming that means you switched from dsl to a different type of service and if so what is it?
The asdl router which I had was of no use to my ISP they wanted a wan port to configure so I had to bring them a new tp link wireless router and just to give a try I tried making my old asdl router Ethernet port working as wan..but to my luck it pings my ISP and its logins to there homepage asking for a username password but it says invalid Mac address
I feel my ISP has done sum Mac filtering I can see in my account the Mac address of my new tp link I suppose I have to call my ISP just to state him that I have a new router..as vesp3r said
