He doesn't need a bachelor's of Engineering, he's basically going to be dealing with "testing" and user-experience design.
People dismiss "celebrities" but lets look at what he can actually bring to the table that a joe-blow can't. For one, he's a very wealthy person being an actor, and he's a tech enthusiast (or so he claims). If he is a tech enthusiast, he is someone who's probably burned hundreds of thousands of dollars on gadgets over the years, if not more. So he probably has a much larger range of experience as an end user than the average middle class guy, giving him a lot more experience to draw from in whatever ideas he brings to the table.
On top of all this, he brings his name for advertising and any other connects he may have.
Creating the "best" product has nothing to do with how successful it will be. If that was the case, PC gaming would dominate console gaming in popularity, but we know that isn't the case. Usability is key. The design of how the product is simplified and used by common folk is the key to a product's success. That's what this guy is going to be assisting with. He's not a real "Engineer" as we would normally use the title lol.
