aspect ratio 4:3 stretched ?

i have intel hd 530 desktop
i am currently playing witcher 2 but my pc cant handle it very well so i am running at 1280x720 and i heard about stretched 4:3 aspect ratio ... can someone tell me how i can strectch 4:3
PLIS DONT ANSWER IN TECHNICHAL LANGUAGE I AM A NOOB
btw i didnt pirate ... got from gog.com for 6 dollars

In some games in the advanced option to do with display or graphics settings you can change the aspect from 4:3 to 16:9 or 16:10 aspect.

I would have to ask what is the maximum screen resolution your monitor can do, and what display size is the screen of the monitor.

If you have a 4:3 display the the resolution in windows should be set to 1280x960 so the game you are playing fits the monitor screen.

1280 x 720 is not the correct resolution that should be set in windows for a 4:3 monitor.
At that resolution the screen image will not fit the display panel or monitor screen if a 4:3 aspect ratio.
