Hello everyone,

I'm new to this community and I have a few questions regarding my laptop CPU. As it is currently, I have a i5 4210U processesor with EA50_HB motherboard (laptop one).. I was wondering if its possible that I upgrade the current CPU into a i7 quad core processor?

Best regards

Solution
In theory the i7-4510U is compatible with the motherboard, but it's moot because it's all soldered together. Very few laptops are upgradeable in this way

*EDIT*

Also just to note the performance increase probably wouldn't warrant the random cost of finding a solo chip. It's practically the same chip just binned higher with more l3 cache. It's roughly a 15-20% performance increase due to nominal clock
