Question AMD Vs Intel For Exporting/ Coding Video

I've seen 2 different videos that test CPUs for creation, not gaming. I use Premiere Pro to render and export video in 4K and 8K. One video suggested Intel is a lot faster then AMD for this, and said the U265K is actually faster then the U285K for this process. Basically the single core speed is better on the 265. The 285 was slightly lower and all of AMD's CPUs were way behind many Intel variants. Then I watch another video for the same thing- exporting video with Premiere Pro. He tested using Puget and said all the AMD CPUs beat Intel, with the highest core count getting the best score. Intel was behind. Then I read in the comments of the first video stating that Intel is faster for exporting for the first 20 minutes, but then slows way down after that. AMD was basically the same time by the end of the long exporting process.

So what are people noticing of these two brands for creation? I usually do either H264 or H265.

I use Premiere Pro to render and export video in 4K and 8K.
Would help if you parsed the specs to your current system for context. I noticed you have info in your sig space. We advise users to include their system specs in their thread body as sig space specs can and will change over time. When that happens, this thread and it's relevant suggestions will be rendered moot to the end user in the same boat as you're in now. This is why specs are asked for in the thread's body.

Intel had an edge way back when(before Ryzen matured and when Bulldozer's were where Intel are now) but now AMD's much more power efficient and a sound investment, considering Intel's just pumping voltage through their processors(reminiscent of AMD's pre-Ryzen era).

So what are people noticing of these two brands for creation? I usually do either H264 or H265.
Passing on links to said videos would help. That would also be a good comparison against your current platform and if you've got any limiters in your platform.

IDK I don't do really sophisticated video, I only do 2k H264 using the elementary Movavi Video Editor. I did check my 285K vs. my 9950X3D and the 285K was faster. BUT I don't know how much of a factor reading video from and writing video back to the m.2 drive is. The 285K system has a much faster SK Hynix Platinum P41 m.2 than the 9950X3D Samsung 960Pro m.2 so there would probably be some added time reading the source from the m.2 and then writing it back. Plus neither system has a gpu so it would be hard to tell how much of a factor the igpu would be.

Honestly I just use my MacBook, smashed my PC in davinci so just used that.

My computer currently has a X870E motherboard. Regardless of which CPU I will use, I plan to get Corsairs DDR5 128GB (64x2) sticks at 6400 speed. For the GPU I was debating to go RTX 5070Ti or 5080. 5090 is 4 grand here and draws too much power through wires anyway. As for my current CPU, I have a Ryzen 9950X. I was debating to get the U265K CPU, since its single thread performance is better then the 285K. I also have the Samsung 990 Pro for SSD.
