Hi everyone. I have a motherboard Asrock h61m-HG4 running with a weak RX 550. I have a good psu and I bought a GTX 1650. My question is about the motherboard, because your h61 chipset, it's would be a problem around both compatibility?

In the asrock site, says the motherboard supports UEFI bios and PCI -EX 3.0.

Will the graphic card work right in this motherboard?

Solution
Good, the config is:

Xeon e3 1230v2.
8 gbs ram ddr3 1600mhz
RX 550 2gbs
PSU 450w PCYES

The 1650 will give you a nice boost in performance over the RX 550. Here is a video showing the 1650 vs the RX 560. The 560 is faster than the 550 and the 1650 is faster than both.

If a full upgrade isn't an option, I would strongly urge you to get at least 16GB RAM vs your current 8GB, but check to make sure your motherboard can support it. The Xeon you have was originally released back in 2012 so your motherboard may only support up to 8GB. List it here and we can check for you. But again only if you don't plan on upgrading anytime soon as I wouldn't otherwise suggest you to invest anymore $$ into a DDR3 era system. I take it you...

Hi @djm_jm

Here are your mobo specs.

It has a PCIe x16 3.0 slot. The GTX 1650 is a PCIe 3.0 card. You're good. :) Also depending on the card model you get, you'll not need an extra power connector as it pulls all the power it needs directly from the PCIe slot itself.

Whats the rest of your PC's specs?

The 1650 is a sound choice. Let us know how everything runs.

yes, windows 10 and it has SSD. About the motherboard, it supports 16gbs ram ddr3 1600mhz, have two slots, 2*8GBs is the maximum.
