Endless blue screen of death after updating BIOS and new CPU on Asrock AB350M Pro4 motherboard

Began the process of upgrading from a 2600x to a 5600x cpu this week. Would’ve probably been completely painless except it required several BIOS updates to the motherboard to make it compatible with the new cpu. Immediately once that was done and the new chip installed I began having issues. SATA port 1 which my windows boot SSD was on no longer works at all, so for the time being I disconnected another drive and used its port for the boot drive. Somehow that was just the beginning of the issues as my windows drive suddenly wouldn’t boot anymore - after spending a day or two troubleshooting various boot partition issues I finally had to reinstall windows, I still haven’t done a clean format install though. At this point I finally have the machine booting but have been plagued by endless BSOD, the majority of them are IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, but have also seen a ton of MEMORY MANAGEMENT and probably half a dozen others, one time one of them actually mentioned tcpip.sys. I also just got a KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE and SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION. The BSODs even happen in safe mode AND while trying to perform a chkdsk scan. I literally can’t do anything.

No drivers are marked as troublesome in device manager but I did remove and reinstall network drivers due to tcpip.sys being mentioned. Most troubleshooting I’ve seen online revolves around drivers being the issue but I have no idea how to narrow down which ones.

I would make this on another PC and use it to test CPU -
Prime 95 Bootable - https://www.infopackets.com/news/10113/how-fix-bootable-prime95-stress-test-hardware

Prime 95 Instructions - https://appuals.com/how-to-run-a-cpu-stress-test-using-prime95/

Given it was the last hardware changed.
You don't normally get BSOD etc just from swapping the CPU. Did you update the Chip set drivers?

So I assume you on 7.20... I hate asrock boards as they remove support for older CPU when you flash for newer CPU. Most other board makers just add support, they don't remove it.
