[SOLVED] ASRock B450M PRO4-F and Ryzen 1600 AF

Just bought an AsRock B450M PRO4-F and a Ryzen 1600 AF.. Lots of posts saying I need to update the bios in order for it to boot but I don't own a Ryzen chip other than the 1600 AF (coming in tomorrow).

Can I expect everything to work out of the box?

I have a ryzen 5 2600. It worked out of the box for me. First gen ryzen should be fine without any bios update

Hey man,

The ryzen 5 2600 supports all bios versions.. I'm worried that my 1600 AF might need a bios update.. just want to confirm that I dont need to do that.

ASRock B450M Pro4-F CPU Support List shows BIOS version P2.00 is required for your processor to be compatible. There is no way of knowing what version of BIOS is currently installed on the motherboard (unless there is a BIOS version sticker on the box).
