If 2 sata ports is enough for you then you are an average user and you have no clue which advantages more disks can have. I run WAMpserver, Mysql, PostgreSql on my computer.
Database indexes are on different disk then the data. The page/swap file are on different disk, despite 32 gig of memory. I do not place heavely used/updated files on an ssd, but on an old fashioned harddisk. So I geuss, this is not my MB of choice.
