These are three boards I am looking at. I was pretty well set on the Extreme4 but I can't find it anywhere. Found a couple places that said they had it in stock but after I ordered it I got emails saying they were out of stock.

So, I could order both the ASRock P67 Pro3 and the ASUS P8P67 right now as they are in stock at SuperBiiz and Tiger Direct respectively.

How do they compare regardless of price? How do they compare as far as "bang for buck?"

The ASRock Pro3 will cost $150 after tax and shipping, the ASRock Extreme4 will cost about $175 after tax and shipping (if it ever comes back into stock), and the ASUS P8P67 Pro will cost about $210 after tax and shipping.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

All three are good boards. If you plan on going with a single card set up...then the Pro3 is what you would want. For a dual card set up...that asrock extreme4 and asus pro run about dead even. I posted some reviews up above of the extreme4.
That looks like a good guide. I was also going to reference this one: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/265056-29-2600k-2500k-overclocking-guide

How high to you plan on overclocking? From what I've read, a 4 ghz oc is only a matter of bumping up the multiplier; I don't think voltage adjustments are necessary. The author of your guide used a voltage of 1.35V to achieve 4.8 Ghz, so I'm going to regard that as the maximum voltage setting (assuming I decide to see how high a stable OC i can get). Also, the difference in voltage between his 4.0 and 4.5 OCs is 0.05 V so based on that, I'd increase the voltage in 0.01 increments. But err on the side of caution if you're uncertain.

All this is based on observation of what people have done in the OC guides. I'm going to start building my first PC today so I've never OC'd before!

OK, so, weird problem. When it boots there is a single beep (so it passed POST) and I load right into Windows 7 no problem. BUT, I can't seem to get into BIOS. It never says "hit DEL for BIOS" or anything like that but If I hit DEL it takes me to a page that says AB in the bottom right hand corner and has the mouse in the center. I can move the mouse but there is nothing to click. Any ideas?

I only have a couple hrs a night to build, and I'm still working on getting everything wired properly so I haven't gotten there yet. But I suggest starting a new thread in the Motherboard subforum to get some responses.
