Ahoy friends.
I have recently purchased my ASRock Rack EPYCD8-2T motherboard in order to replace my buggy Supermicro H11SSL-i which has severe issues using NVMe devices.
My system was running fine using my ASRock Rack EPYCD8-2T motherboard, but suddenly i wasn't able to access the IPMI interface anymore. The system was still running, but unfortunately even tools like "ipmitool" only printed errors regarding the BMC device which is not responding.
Now i had to do some maintenance and i wanted to use different hard drives, so i tried to access the IPMI web interface without success. Even though the system is still running, using the "last working setup" i am not able to do any changes right now. Because unfortunately VGA output does not work anymore, and i don't have any dedicated GPU available here. I tried to reset CMOS, but it didn't help.
Also there is no BMC heartbeat blinking, i tried to move the jumper to disabled and enabled position as well.
What's wrong in this case? Is this board dead, and do i have to RMA it?

My RJ45 port for the IPMI is blinking in a weird way, i didn't see such a behaviour on my ASRock X470DU only on this board.

Thanks in advance.

Ahoy friends. I have been able to fix this issue. Seems like the BMC ROM performed an act of self-destruction. I had to reflash it, and i've dumped the image before. Something was quite heavily broken somehow.
I am curious for how long it will last.
Quite hard to flash this thing using a SOIC 16 on a bulk chip outside of the motherboard.

Good day. hope this finds you well. this issue seems like a common issue with the board and I found out too late and the hard way.
was wondering if you could point me in the direction to repair. do you still have the dump? and can u tell me what tools i need to buy to write the chip?
