hi guys i’m currently building a new rig and ive purchsed the following:-
ASROCK X570 Taichi
GSKILL F4-32DOC14D-32GTZ 32gb 3200mhz
(This came with the mobo as a bundle)
Corsair icue h150i elite lcd
Corsair HX1200i 80 Plus PLATINUM ATX Power Supply 1200W
Crucial BX500 2TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD
I’m in a bit of quandry as i want to upgrade the ram
so i was wondering if i can sell my existing gskill ram and get corsair equivilent RGB and increase it to 64 or even 128 and if so what ram would you recommend

Why in the world would you want to get rid of G.Skill Trident Z memory, which is some of if not THE best memory out there, and go with a Corsair option that is either going to cost you way more than it is worth for Dominator platinum (As depending on the specific kit might still not even be as good) or be a definite downgrade for Vengeance kits? Need to realize that with that kit being 3200MT/s, and it IS Megatransfers, NOT "Mhz", and CL14, that means it is a VERY high quality Samsung B-die IC equipped kit that is very unlikely to be outmatched by just about anything else out there that's of equal speed and throughput.

And as far as increasing capacity to 64 or 128GB, why? What are you running that you have a need for that much memory, because there are very few use cases where that much memory, even 64GB, makes any sense. I can literally pretty much list them on one hand. 95% of users, especially if gaming is your primary concern, will never use even close to 32GB even with the currently most demanding games, mods, overlays, browser tabs, recording, etc. I mean, if you KNOW you need that much RAM because you are running very high end applications that require it, or virtual machines that will benefit from it, or some seriously extravagantly multitasking configuration, then great, but it doesn't make much sense to spend the money on that much memory unless you know without ANY doubt that you can utilize it and most can't.
