Hi everyone, which of these two boards are better? I will be using a Intel Core i7 6700K and will want to overclock it. I have a Nepton 240M cooler. Also, what power phase is the Gigabyte model? Thanks!

I'm not bothered about the price because my parents are paying for it anyways 😀

Is the ASUS better though? I chose it on Aesthetics and Features. Is there anything particular on it that is worth it over other boards?

Asus Maximus VIII Gene
Core i7 6700K
EVGA GTX 960 SSC
Cooler Master Nepton 240M
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
WD Black 3TB
Element Gaming/Raidmax Hyperion mATX Case
EVGA 500W White PSU
AeroCool Dead Silence Fans
Cosair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 + Corsair Vengeance Airflow

And I have boatloads of other parts, but they're just the main ones really.

A much more balanced build,

Hi, thank for that but I want to keep the mATX case I have. I have the 6700k, Nepton 240m, Maximus VIII Gene, Vengeance LPX 16GB 2400, 250GB 850 EVO, GTX 960 SSC and EVGA 500W White PSU.

So is there even much difference? I will end up upgrading my GPU in the future anyway.

Also, You listed the Barracuda 3TB drive. Don't these have high failure rates? Because I was just going to get the WD Black 3TB for the extra cost.

So whybis the black more expensive? Plus online, there is many reports saying that the seagate drives should be used as cheap backup storage, and the WD as a main drive. Which one performs better too? And which one is louder since noise is a big concern to me.
