Question I need help identifying this power connector for PCIe slot ?

I'm looking to to add some more usb slots via pcie to my pc and I ordered this off amazon buit it has the wrong end connector. I need a connector that has the four circles (4 pin connector?). What do I need to search for on amazon to make sure I get the right end connector? Thanks

Yes, you can. The latter card doesn't need any power input.

Might I ask why you're adding those USB cards into your build? Your concurrent platform has USB3 connectivity both Type-A and Type-C. For both the front and rear panels.

All the sata ends are connected to my hdds at front end of my pc. These molex connectors are all I have for the back end. What do you mean my "concurrent platform" has connectivity type A/C? Sorry I'm not down with the technical jargon 😉. I'm pretty much using up all of my rear usb slots on the motherboard and would like to have a few extra in the back without running cables to my front usb ports. My PSU is EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GT 650W 80Plus Gold Fully Modular PowerSupply. The other adapter is to turn the usb 3.0 on the adapter to 2.0 since your using the 3.0 for front headers. You only have 2.0 at the bottom of the board.

I figured out what you were saying. In using the 2.0. Would that slow down the speed compared to just using the plug in and play pcie slot usb card?

Yes it would however doing it the way I mentioned doesn't rob you of lanes on PCI side for gpu it would take the lanes from chip set. Side. Depending on what your plugging in you won't notice huge difference. And the type c is dedicated.

A CPU will reserve some lanes usually 4 for chipset for harddrives and usb hubs.

On GPU side it's usually 16-20 depending on CPU and chipset.
