Asrock Z370M-ITX/ac stuck in reset loop after failed BIOS update

My PC is stuck in a reset loop with blank screen after a failed attempt to update the BIOS. I tried the usual trick of disconnecting the battery and setting the Clear CMOS jumper, but without success. I also tried to copy the "Instant Flash" BIOS file on an USB key, and noticed activity on the key for 30 seconds before reset. It seems like it expects to find something on the USB key, just not the Instant Flash BIOS file. Is there some magic file that would allow me to recover my BIOS?

im sorry but you need to desolder bios chip and program with spi programmer

Thanks a lot! I bought the EPROM programmer with a SOIC8 clip, and I was able to copy the BIOS file to the EPROM and make my motherboard work again.

Nice. Its easier with clip... Im just used to desoldering but anyone who is not and dont want to risk motherboard dying or whatever gpu your working with, go with clip. Its like 5 more euros

Btw im curious did you use bios file extracted straight from manufactor or did you need to find dump file for this motherboard? This can happen with laptops cause you cant get full flash size from website or its missing ec bios example
