Okay, so last night I was messing with my SLI profile trying to get Dead Island to stop screen tearing! (And it never did) While doing so I used Nvidia Inspector to use a profile that ended up switching off my SLI. Not a problem I just rebooted, but alas I got NO boot screen after repetitive tries. Finally I hit the Clear CMOS switch, restarted and voila! UEFI boots up. HOWEVER, I cannot save any changes. If I try to save changes the computer acts like it's going to boot and then JUST GOES BACK TO UEFI. In order to boot, I have wait for UEFI to load, hit ESC, "Discard changes," and then it finally boots Windows.

What on earth should I do?

Wow!

hcstnfrd, you are awesome! I started doing what you said, one at a time, and it turns out the whole issue was due to my keyboard being placed in certain usb slots.. so strange. This was really frustrating me so I sincerely appreciate it =)
I have this exact same issue. I just put together an entire system after buying parts from newegg and after finally getting everything running fine and smooth, the last issue I'm having is the UEFI loading EVERY time my computer boots or reboots. The only way for me to get passed it and get Windows 7 to load is to choose "Discard and Exit." I've got Windows 7 on a SSD and a HDD dedicated for data (don't know what difference this makes in maybe the bootup?). I've read some similar issues online but usually people's solutions were to change the cmos battery in the motherboard. In this case, I don't think that's the answer as I can still save changes and the date and time are accurately stored. Please, if you know your stuff, help us out.

Hey cerulean, I actually got this resolved on a separate post at overclock.net. A guy and I were having the same issue and it seems to stem from USB peripherals. Try booting you computer with nothing in the USB slots and see if you get to the Windows splash screen.

If in fact you do, then try reconnecting your mouse. If it still boots then try your keyboard. It looks like in the current ASRock bios there is a glitch and it's choosy about which USB ports you plug into. I have my keyboard and mouse plugged in the top ports on the back i/o.

Let me know how this works out! ASRock customer support absolutely sucks, so I'll try to help you troubleshoot as best as possible.
