Hello, I have quick question - actually I have 2x4GB ram sticks in dual-channel, I read in the instruction that mobo supports dual-channel when sticks are in 1A and 1B slots or 2A and 2B slots, or in all slots(I mean 4 sticks), unfortunately I don't have enough money for two sticks, so I'm planning on buying one 4GB stick for now - does it ruin the dual-channel for my previous memories in 1A and 1B slots?

Solution
That configuration would result in Flex mode. This mode results in both dual and single-channel operation across the whole of DRAM memory.

Whether such a configuration works would depend on your compatibility testing. Such combinations are not guaranteed to work by memory manufacturers.
