sad thing is with all my asrock board [or any brand at that ] I get like from newegg all came in with first release bios on them so if yours does as well with that refresh chip or any chip that needs a higher bios you may find yourself stuck or looking to get a chip to boot on in order to flash to the bios you need to support the chip you wanted to use
I learned to buy a chip that's supported under ''ALL'' bios's when I order a new board [most times what the best in that like a 4670 instead of the 4690] opinion
