Asrock z87 fan control issue

So I've have my asrock z87 extreme 4 for a while now with no issues until now. I recently flashed to bios to the newest bios to accept my i7 4790k(amazing overclocker btw) and now it's seems the asrock fan control software no longer works. Before I use to be able to manually set fan curves for all the fans plugged into the chassis headers and change their speeds as I please but ever since the flash it seems now all the fans do as they please. When my CPU is being stressed they all spin up and when my system is at idle all the fans except the CPU fans turn off completely. I'm assuming this is a bios issue? Is there any way for me to control the fans with other software? I really don't want to add a fan controller if possible. Any help would be great thanks.

Lot's of people swear by SpeedFan. It's a bit involved to get it set up right, but once it's set up it's supposed to be pretty effective. I haven't had any luck with it personally - apparently it doesn't like Asus boards very much, or at least not my Heroes or Gene. Might give it a try:

I've tried speedfan in the past with no luck at all. Ill give it a try but I don't think it likes my motherboard

Might try reinstalling your mobo drivers, starting with the chipset driver.
