Assassins Creed Black Flag Fps Problem

I know this game is un-optimized but is there any way I can increase my fps?
Specs
Dual Core 4ghz processor (overclocked)
HD 6670 1gb
8gb ram
Settings
1080p
Everything lowest
V-sync on
With these settings I get 21-24 fps in cities with a constant 30 at sea, in the cities is becoming unbearable as it stutters so much. Is there anything i can do to improve my fps? Also Lowering my resolution doesn't help and sometimes makes the fps worse!

Have you tried lowering the resolution?
That game is really unoptimized and problem is that it's using max 50% of gpu power so you need to have really good card to play that game nicely and your hd 6670 is really weak especially for 1080p

Yeah, then when that lagged I kept going down and I was still getting 19-21 fps, even at 800x600

When I have the money I'm upgrading to a AMD R9 380 and whatever decent quad core cpu i can get so hopefully i can run it then
